Fusing contemporary style with traditional Vietnamese concepts, mixing elemental materials such as metal and wood, which makes the Paradise Elegance a stunning work of art, berthed magnificently in the middle of the world wonder Ha Long Bay.
Opened in March to redefine luxury cruising, the Paradise Elegance is an impressive escape to Ha Long Bay. A meticulously-designed steel boat that boasts grandeur architecture and classical interiors, inspiring travelers to explore the natural heritage and its mysteries beyond.
(*) Vietnam Visa on Arrival (VOA) is quite different from the normal “on Arrival” concept. If you wish to do the VOA service here, you need to employ an agent in Vietnam (like our hotel) to obtain an official of approval letter for VOA before you arrive. Later, at the airport this letter must be showed together with your valid passport to get the Visa stamped.
A sleek, modern vessel that fuses contemporary styling with Vietnamese design concepts, the Paradise Elegance is a meticulously designed steel boat that has reimagined luxury cruising on Halong Bay. Boasting a piano bar, day spa and wellness centre, butler service and the full range of dining options, the Elegance is a work of art, the experience exquisite, the journey flawless.

Cruise itineraries seem to be much of a muchness around Halong Bay and when you’re there you can see there are countless high-quality, luxury boats around. However, paradise peak sets itself apart by having half the cabin/customer number to other same size cruises. This means every room has a bathtub and a private balcony. The best thing though is the quality of service, the likes of which I’ll probably never be lucky enough to see again! Between Grace (cruise manager), Ava (our personal Butler) and Vange (the excursions and activity leader) they made us feel like King and Queen of Halong Bay. They dropped petals over us from the upper deck as we boarded and that extra level of effort never ceased. The food, room, massage, drinks etc were all knock out. If I went again I might miss out some excursions so I had more time to relax on the boat (the excursions were all fairly average and crowded). This cruise is more expensive than lots of others, but you won’t wonder why for a second. This is a once in a lifetime treat, I felt like I’d gone back in time. Wow.
My husband and I had the most amazing experience sailing Halong Bay onboard the Paradise Peak. The scenery was stunning and the staff friendly, professional and so accommodating. It is a special trip we will remember for a long time. Highly recommend if you are after a luxury experience. Thank you Ronald, Rachel and all the crew for making our trip so special. Warm wishes, Anna & Jeff
Highly highly recommended! From the moment we stepped on-board the Paradise Peak it was a magical experience. The crew, manager Grace, our personal butler Rachel and your guide, Vangie are all exceptionally professional and made our stay a wonderful experience. The food prepared by chef Dai was delicious! The excursions from the boat were also very enjoyable. Thank you so much we will be back!
Halong bay is a welcome respite from the craziness of Vietnam cities. Being surrounded by nature is a great tonic. Strangely, even thought there are almost 2000 islands in the bay, your cruise seems to just orbit a dozen of them. Visiting the same beach, cave, pearl farm and floating village as each of the other 100 cruise ships near you. At night you’ll be anchored in the midst of dozens of ships, many of them blaring disco music or Asian pop. This cruise is not a solitary experience. The nature sites you visit are nice enough, but you feel like part of a tourist sausage machine, getting marched smartly through each place, and then exiting via the gift shop.
Our ship was lovely, with very attentive staff, reasonable food and decent cabins. The food and service was a bit lacking in detail. Coffee would be served, but then the staff would take ten minutes to bring milk. Dinner was over cooked one night to be almost not edible. But, don’t worry too much, Vietnam is still finding it’s feet in pandering to demanding tourists. Just enjoy the quiet and peacefulness of this wonderfully gorgeous bay. Get to know your fellow passengers and drink until you drop into bed.
We did the two day one night cruise on Paradise Elegance 2 and had an amazing experience. The weather wasn’t the greatest but we were still able to do some hiking, kayaking and a little swimming too. This trip was a small portion of our honeymoon trip to Vietnam and the cruise manager Ronald and his staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. I would definitely recommend this trip to Halong Bay to anyone thinking about it. Make sure to book with Paradise Elegance because they will take care of you!
