8.00 AM: After breakfast be greeted by your private tour guide for a 1.5 hour drive to the Cu Chi Tunnels. Cu Chi Tunnels is 75 km outer suburb of Ho Chi Minh City. This vast network of tunnels, stretching over 250 kilometers is a sobering insight into the dedication of the Viet Cong who lived almost entirely underground in the narrow tunnels.
Upon arrival, we have an opportunity to watch a brief introductory documentary. This black and white film tells of the War from a different perspective which is always interesting. Following this film, we will take a walk through the compound to experience what life was like for the 10,000 Viet Cong who took part in the 1968 Tet Offensive. You may even have a chance to crawl through the tunnels yourself.
Leaving Cu Chi, we continue to drive to Tay Ninh to visit the Holy Cao Dai Temple. One of the most striking temples of Southeast Asia, the Cao Dai Great Holy See Temple has a unique architectural style that reflects the blended religious traditions of Caodaism, which combines elements of Buddhism, Christianity and Confucianis.
We arrive at the temple around mid-day and attend the amazing and unique mid-day service which you will never ever see anywhere in the world. After that we have lunch in a local restaurant and drive back to Ho Chi Minh City. Tour finishes at our hotel at about 17.00.
