We enjoyed a 2 day / 1 night cruise. We were greeted by smiling staff as we stepped off the tender that took us to the main vessel.
To our fabulous terrace suite, with a ceiling to floor window from which we could view the wonder of Halong / Lan Ha Bay.
All meals were served fresh; they were tasty and plentiful.
Wines and cold beer choices were great.
Staff on board, Daisy our guide and Lucky and Thomas friendly and very helpful too.
There are a lot of choices of vessels for a Halong Bay cruise but I can highly recommend Perla Dawn Sails.
When I booked Perla dawn sails, I was little bit concerned because it was quite new criuse and there were not much reviews.
First, 7-seater limousine bus was exactly on time in front of my hotel. Cruise was really luxurious and satisfying. Staffs were attentive and helpful all the time. Especially, the manager(I forgot his name) was very responsible and professional so he took care of any unexpected situations very smoothly. I would highly recommand Perla dawn sails to my friends!
We had a fantastic stay on the Perla. Everything was well organized. Great food, great cabins with balcony. In the evening you have dinner with local Music. You Can go kayaking, biking, swimming and visit fishing farms, you sail in a beautiful nature environment. A great experience!!!
The cruise was luxurious, classy and well-maintained. Our rooms were very clean and the itinerary was filled with activities for the guests (swimming, kayaking, taiji, cave visit, making rice rolls etc). Most importantly, the staff onboard the Perla Dawn were amazing. From the live music over dinner by Mr. Victory to the care and concern shown by staff like Amy and Kenny, we were well taken of throughout the journey and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The staff were very pleasant and always attentive in tending to the guests. Kudos to the staff of Perla Dawn – you guys truly set yourselves apart from the rest.
Prior to arriving in Vietnam, I asked our hotel in Hanoi to recommend some Halong Bay cruises so I could research which one to book once we arrived.
The list was huge but I narrowed it to one which suited us as a couple. Once we arrived in Hanoi, the hotel manager suggested Perla Dawn Sails instead of the established one we had picked. Being a newer ship and a quieter route, the hotel said we would have a better experience.
We were picked up at the exact time provided in a very comfy 7 seater mini bus which had WiFi. The drive to the set off point for this cruise is quicker than to Halong Bay which means more time on the boat. Included is a comfort stop but all in all we arrived about 3hrs after we left our hotel.
The staff were attentive and lovely from the moment we arrived. Safety is a priority for the crew and I felt looked after my whole stay.
The rest of the itinerary is similar to other cruises on offer, but unlike the Halong Bay trips you feel the tranquility and the quiet of this amazing place.
The cabin was beautiful and we slept with the curtains open to take in the view. The lunches and breakfast were buffet style and tasty, although the dinner I suspect is similar to all these cruises and felt like a taster menu.
We didn’t partake in squid fishing, opting instead to sit on our balcony and take in as much as we could of the sights and the calm.
This was my favourite experience while in this beautiful country and I think a lot of this had to do with Perla Dawn and there amazing staff and the beautiful ship.
Would recommend this 100%.
