The Bhaya Story
Ha Long Bay Cruise ship Bhaya was inspired by the majestic luxury of the ships used by Vietnam’s Imperial Emperors. To ease themselves of the lofty worries of imperial reign and the constant plotting and counter-plotting of the imperial court, Vietnam’s Emperors would seek the isolated safety and seclusion of their imperial vessels. Ha Long Bay has always been a favorite destination.
In the modern era, Ha Long Bay cruises have undergone a massive resurgence in popularity. Catering to the mass tourism market, none recreate the allure, enchantment, luxury or comfort of the Bhaya.
Bhaya Cruises on Halong Bay marry the splendor of the scenery with the significance of the location in Vietnamese history, the cultural importance of the imperial legacy and the sheer beauty of an acclaimed natural wonder in charm and luxury! A centuries old cruising tradition recreated in modern comfort and safety.

A must do, the room, the food and most of all the staff are amazing. The scenery is spectacular and you are so well looked after every minute of the time and most of all you meet so many interesting people and have fun
My boyfriend and I stayed on the Bhaya 2 cruise ship, run by Mr Ninh, and simply had the best time. The cabins were stunning and so comfortable, we even had our own balcony. The food was delicious and the activities were really well organised and brilliant fun- a great way to see the bay, which of course is breathtaking. The crew on board were amazing (shout out to Iris!) transforming what would have been a great experience into an unforgettable one. Book now and request Bhaya 2 with Mr Ninh!
We were thoroughly impressed with our Bhaya Halong Bay Cruise. Our room was gorgeous & beautifully set out & smelt amazing. The food was also amazing & the Staff couldn’t be more helpful & friendly.
My husband and i were picked up from the Hilton Hotel at 7:30am to start making our way to Halong Bay. Not realising the drive from Hanoi to Halong Bay was roughly 3.5hrs on our way we stopped mid way at a souvenir/workshop to stretch our legs and have a break from being in the van.
We made it to the Bhaya Cruise reception around 11:45am and were greeted by extremely happy and friendly staff. They took our bags and provided us with wet towels and a welcome drink.
We boarded our boat at 12:45pm, our rooms were surprisingly perfect and had comfy beds and well equipped room. Air-con worked so good too.
As we set sail we had our intro to the boat and safety and the itinerary for the day then we had a buffet lunch. We reached our first stop Ti Top island which you could choose to either swim or do a hike. We had an hour free time.
Back on the boat to set sail for our next destination we went to a Lagoon cave where we saw beautiful monkeys you had a choice of either doing kayaking or in a row boat.
Back on the boat we had time to freshen up before the Masterchef challenge and fruit carving demonstration which was a lot of good fun.
Once this was done it was time for dinner. Dinner was a set menu which was nice.
After dinner we had the option of doing squid fishing or socialising with other guests.
Next morning there was an option to do Tai Chi and then have a light breakfast. Our first activity was at 7am to Hung Sung Sot (cave of surprises) total of 700 steps thru but completely worth it. Absolutely beautiful.
Once back on the boat we had our farewell brunch and began checkout. We returned back to the harbour at 10:30am and concluded our overnight cruise.
Definitely recommend this cruise totally worth it.
I should mention all activities are optional so you dont have to do them if you dont want. A few people chose to stay on the boat and just enjoy the views and relax which was completely fine.
What a great experience this tour was!!!
Our cruise manager Kevin was really informative, polite and courteous to all passengers on board, whilst making the time to come to the couples/groups individually.
Iris the receptionist was also fantastic, always happy and full of information from our master chef classes to our tours etc.
Our cabins were beautifully equipped, as well as the variety of food and beverages.
This is really an awesome way to see the bay if you are short on time.
Highly recommended!!!
